St. Patty's Day Sippers

Green food coloring can add a festive coloring in your beer or any light colored liquid of choice!  Keep it handy!  You won't need more than a drop or two at a time!

POT O' GOLD SHOTS

 1 package lemon Jello

1 cup COLD whiskey (or vodka)

1 cup boiling water

16 plastic shot cups

cool whip

decorative candy if desired (rainbow, gold sprinkles, green dots, etc.)

Combine Jello mix and boiling water, stirring until dissolved.  Stir in Cold Whiskey.   Pour mixture into shot cups to 2/3 full.  Refrigerate 2 hours.  Spool a layer of cool whip onto top of firm Jello.  Decorate as desired.

IRISH FLAG SHOTS

Green Cream De Menthe

Irish Cream

Grand Marnier

In shot glass, fill 1/3 with green cream de menthe.  Next 1/3  layer white Irish cream.  Top 1/3 layer with yellow Grand Marnier.

IRISH COFFEE

1 cup hot coffee

1 tbsp. brown sugar or honey

1-1/2 oz. Irish Whiskey

Whipped cream

Add Sugar and Whiskey to hot coffee.  Top with a spoonful or two of whipped cream

GREEN MARGARHITA

2 oz. Tequila

1 oz. Cointreau

3/4 oz. Fresh Lime

1 drop Green Food Coloring

Juice Lime.  Prepare rim of rocks glass with juice of lime wedge, then dip rim in salt.Combine in shaker, tequila, Cointreau, lime juice and food coloring.  Fill with ice and shake 20 seconds.  Strain into prepared glass over ice.  Garnish with lime wheel.1/4 oz. Simple syrup may be added to smooth a harsh brand of tequila. 

 MINT JULEP

2 oz. Bourbon

1 Tsp.  Sugar

2 Fresh Mint Leaves

Crushed Ice

Crush together Mint leaves and sugar, then put into shaker.  Add Bourbon and Ice CUBES.  Shake  30 seconds or until sugar is dissolved and mixture is very cold.   Strain into 8 oz. glass filled with  crushed ice.  Garnish with mint sprigs. 

LIME SHERBET PUNCH

2 quarts Lime Sherbet

2 Liters Ginger Ale

1 -  46 oz. Can Pineapple Juice

Garnish if desired, with fruit or fruit slices

Combine all ingredients in a large punch bowl and serve! 

IRISH APPLETINI

1-1/2 oz. IRISH Whiskey

1 oz. Green Apple Schnapps

1/4 oz Ginger Ale

Lime wedge as garnish, if desired.

Shake with ice, whiskey and schnapps.  Pour into Martini glass, strained, and top with ginger ale.

PICKLEBACK

1 Shot Irish Whiskey

1 Shot Pickle Juice

Drink shot of whiskey, then follow with 1 shot pickle juice

IRISH TYPE BEERS AND LIQUORS  such as stout beers and cream liquors  can be enjoyed as well, in moderation, of course!
