CLASSIC Cocktails

COSMOPOLITAN

2 oz. Vodka

1 oz. Cranberry Juice Cocktail

3/4 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

3/4 oz. Triple Sec

In a chilled cocktail shaker, combine ingredients.  Fill shaker with ice and cover.  Shake vigorously for 20 seconds.  Pour through strainer into a martini glass.  Garnish with orange twist.

HARVEY WALLBANGER

1-1/4 oz. Vodka

3 oz. Orange Juice

1/2 oz. Galliano Liqueur

Fill a tall glass with ice.  Add vodka and orange juice.  Slowly pour Galliano to float on top.  Garnish with orange slice and maraschino cherry on pick.

MOSCOW MULE

2 oz. Vodka

1/2 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

3 oz. Ginger Beer

Fill a cocktail shaker 3/4 with ice.  Add vodka and lime juice.  Shake 15 seconds.  Strain into copper mug and add crushed ice.  Top with ginger beer.  Garnish with lime.

BLOODY MARY

2 oz. Vodka

4 oz. Tomato Juice

1 Lemon Wedge

1 Lime Wedge

2 Dashes Tobasco Sauce

2 Tsp. Horseradish

2 Dashes Worcestershire Sauce

1 Pinch Celery Salt

1 Pinch Black Pepper

1 Pinch Paprika

Prepare pint glass with lemon wedge rubbed along rim, then roll in plate of  celery salt.  In a shaker with ice, squeeze lemon and lime, then drop in .   Add remaining ingredients and shake well.  Strain into prepared glass.  Garnish with parsley sprig or celery stalk in glass.  Garnish with green olives and lime wedge on pick.

CAPE CODDER

1 Part Vodka

4 Parts Cranberry Juice

Combine all ingredients in a highball glass and stir.  Garnish with lime wedge.

MARTINI

2 oz. Vodka

1/4 oz. Dry Vermouth

Olive or Lemon

Pour ingredients into mixing glass with ice and stir OR into shaker with ice and shake well.  Strain into martini glass. Garnish with olive or lemon slice.  For DIRTY MARTINI, add a splash of olive juice.

APPLETINI

1-1/2 oz. Vodka

1 oz. Green Apple Schnapps

1/4 oz. Lemon Juice

Add 1 oz. Butterscotch Schnapps for  CARAMEL APPLETINI

Prepare rim of glass with juice from wedge of lime and roll in cinnamon & sugar mix or caramel.

Pour ingredients into mixing glass with ice and stir OR shaker with ice and shake well.  Strain into martini glass.

BLUE CURACAO

2 oz. Vodka

3/4 oz. Blue Curacao

1/2 oz. Pineapple Juice

Pour ingredients to mixing glass with ice and stir OR shaker with ice and shake well.  Strain into martini glass.

VANILLA MARTINI

2 oz. Vodka

1-1/2 oz. Vanilla Liqueur

1 Lime Wedge

Combine vodka and liqueur, and juice of squeezed lime wedge in a mixing glass with ice OR shaker with ice and shake well.   Strain into a martini glass.

CHOCOLATE MARTINI

2 oz. Vodka

1-1//2 oz. Chocolate Liqueur

Prepare rim of martini glass. Wet rim of glass with water and dip in plate of powdered cocoa.

Combine vodka and liqueur in a mixing glass with ice.  Stir.  Strain into prepared maritini glass.  Garnish with chocolate kiss.

LONG ISLAND ICED TEA

1/2 oz. Vodka

1/2 oz. Rum

1/2 oz. Gin

1/2 oz. Tequila

1/2 oz. Triple Sec

1 Tbs. Lemon Juice

Cherry Cola

Combine in an ice-filled shaker the alcohols and lemon juice.  Shake well and pour into a tall Collins glass.  Top with cola.

TOM COLLINS

2 oz. Dry Gin

1 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice

1/2 oz. *Simple Syrup

Club Soda

In a Collins glass, combine gin, lemon juice and Simple Syrup.  Add ice, top with club soda and stir.  Garnish with maraschino cherry and lemon wheel.

SINGAPORE SLING

2 oz. Gin

1/3 oz. Cointreau

1/3 oz. Benedictine

1/2 oz. Cherry Brandy

1/3 oz. Fresh Lime Juice               

1/3 oz. Grenadine 

2 oz. Pineapple Juice                                       

1 dash Angostura Bitters

Club Soda

In a shaker with ice, combine all ingredients.  Shake 20 seconds.  Strain into a Collins glass.  Top with club soda.  Garnish with pineapple and maraschino cherry.      

SLOE GIN FIZZ

2 oz. Sloe Gin

1 TBL *Simple Syrup

3/4 oz. Lemon Juice

3/4 oz. Lime Juice

Club Soda

Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice.  Shake well.  Pour into a highball glass.  Top with club soda.

VESPER

3 oz. Gin

1 oz. Vodka

1/2 oz. Dry Vermouth

Lemon Peel

Shake all ingredients well, (not stirred) with ice until very cold.  Strain into a champagne glass.  Add slices of lemon peel.

NEGRONI

1 oz. Gin

1 oz. Campari

1 oz. Sweet Vermouth

Orange Peel

Mix ingredients in a glass with ice.  Stir until chilled.  Strain into a highball glass over ice cubes.  Garnish with orange peel.  

GIN TONIC

1 Part Gin

3 Parts Tonic

Lime Wedge

Add ingredients to a highball glass with ice.  Garnish with lime wedge.    

MARTINI

2 oz. Gin

1/4 oz. Dry Vermouth

Olives or Lemon

Pour ingredients into mixing glass with ice and stir OR into shaker with ice and shake well.  Strain into martini glass.  Garnish with olive or lemon slice.  For a DIRTY MARTINI, add a splash of olive juice.                                                      

TEQUILA SUNRISE

1-1/2 oz. Tequila

3/4 Cup Orange Juice

3/4 oz. Grenadine Syrup

Fill a highball glass with ice.  Pour in the tequila and orange juice.  Slowly add the grenadine over the back of a spoon, allowing it to settle at the bottom.  Garnish with orange slice and maraschino cherry.

MATADOR

1-1/2 oz. Tequila

3 oz. Pineapple Juice

1/2 oz. Lime Juice

Combine ingredients in shaker with ice.  Shake 20 seconds.  Strain into ice-filled old-fashioned glass.

MARGARHITA

2 oz. Tequila

1 oz. Cointreau

3/4 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

Lime

Prepare rim of rocks glass with juice of lime wedge, then dip rim in salt.

Combine in shaker, tequila, Cointreau, and lime juice.  Fill with ice and shake 20 seconds.  Strain into prepared glass over ice.  Garnish with lime wheel.

1/4 oz. Simple syrup may be added to smooth a harsh brand of tequila.

PALOMA

2 oz. Tequila

1 Bottle Squirt Soda

1/2 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

Prepare rim of highball glass with juice of  lime wedge, then dip rim in salt.

Fill glass with ice.  Fill 1/3 of glass with soda.  Add tequila and lime juice.  Top with more soda.  Stir gently. Garnish with lime wedge.

MEXICAN MULE

2 oz. Gold Tequila

3 oz. Ginger Ale

1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

1 Tsp. Simple Syrup

Combine Tequila, lime juice and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice.  Shake  vigorously 30 seconds.  Strain into an ice-filled Highball glass.  Top with COLD ginger ale.   Garnish with lime wheel.
